80gsm bond book paper is a practical, economical choice for printed text blocks, handmade notebooks, journals, manuals and everyday bookbinding projects.

This white bond paper is a lightweight, smooth paper ideal for bookbinding, printing, and everyday writing. Its clean white colour gives pages a clear, readable appearance and a professional finish.

The paper is short grain, which means it folds correctly for bookbinding. When folded into sections, it bends easily without cracking or resisting, making it well suited for journals, notebooks, and sewn bindings.

At 80 gsm, this paper is light and flexible, making it perfect for books with many pages where bulk and weight need to be kept to a minimum. It is easy to sew through and comfortable to write on.

This bond paper is compatible with both inkjet and laser printers, producing clear text and reliable printed results.

By placing an order, you confirm that you understand and accept these terms.

Suitable Bookbinding Uses

This lightweight paper works well where a flexible, familiar writing surface is preferred. Use it for multi-signature text blocks, practice bindings, class projects, workbooks and notebooks. Because the paper is short grain, correctly aligned folds help the finished book open more naturally.

Preparing Sheets and Signatures

Work out the finished page size and imposition before printing the whole project. Print and fold a small sample, check front-to-back orientation, then assemble equal groups of sheets into signatures. A bone folder and bookbinding tools help produce crisp folds without damaging the paper.

When sewing signatures, use appropriate linen thread and avoid pulling so tightly that the paper tears around the holes. Hard covers can be made with bookbinding chipboard.

Printing and Storage

  • Test printer feeding, ink coverage and duplex orientation first.
  • Let printed sheets dry before folding or pressing.
  • Keep paper flat and protected from moisture, dust and direct sunlight.
  • Use clean hands and a clean work surface to prevent marks.
